Singer/Songwriter Day

I spent the majority of today organizing, sleeving, and playing records. I was in a very chill mood, so I went with the “Singer/Songwriter” theme. I started the day with Townes Van Zandt’s “Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas”, then moved onto Jerry Jeff Walker’s “Driftin’ Way of Life”. My natural progression from Jerry Jeff was Ian and Sylvia’s “Nashville”, followed strongly by John Prine’s “Prime Prine”.  Ryan Adams’s breakout solo effort, “Heartbreaker” rounded the day off, as it was time to go eat ribs with some friends. Needless to say, it was a hell of a good day of music, and the ribs were pretty damn good, as well. I highly suggest all of these albums, and even more highly suggest you purchase them on vinyl for your listening enjoyment.
